Jim Koppel, President/CEO For twenty years Jim served as founder and President/CEO of DocuVenture, Inc. - a leading-edge Silicon Valley interactive media, Internet development, and online training company. DocuVenture was an industry leader in Web-based interactive development, training, and presentation technologies. Jim has produced interactive learning systems and online marketing and development programs for some of the country's leading corporations, professional organizations, and technical companies, including AMD, Apple, ACM, Autodesk, IBM, Intuit, Nokia, State of California and Sun Microsystems (now Oracle). Jim was E-Commerce Business Consultant for Prairie Mountain Publishing, (an E.W. Scripps/Media News Group publishing venture including: Daily Camera, Broomfield Enterprise, BuffZone, Colorado Daily, Estes Park Trail-Gazette, and all of the respective online properties). Programs included online marketing, sales, design, and development; email marketing; banner ads; electronic storefronts; pay-per-click; local search; online sponsorships; and infrastructure programs. His professional background covers a wide range of technology and marketing disciplines, including technical publications, laser printer development, multimedia, Internet marketing, Web development and online training. Jim was an early proponent of renewable energy systems marketing and of "green" building resource management and energy efficiency computer modeling. He has helped several solar heating and solar electric companies to market and has developed renewable energy marketing and interactive training systems for the purpose of educating and certifying solar and wind practicioners and installers. Jim received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and his J.D. from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Karen Olson, Vice President Karen has an exceptional background in both print and online publishing, with an emphasis on design, image research, art direction, copywriting, production, and high-level project-management. For many years she was Photo Edit Manager for Addison-Wesley Publishing Company in Menlo Park, California and regularly managed multi-million dollar budgets. She was part of the management team that developed and produced hundreds of publications for this award-winning company. Karen worked with some of the country's premier photographers, authors, and editors to produce a multi-disciplinary portfolio. Most recently, Karen continues to hone her online talents as a New Media Editor and Consultant, publishing educational Websites for colleges, high schools, and library audiences. In addition, she creates the visual programs and contributes content for electronic and print reference books in the social sciences. Karen is a graduate of The University of Wisconsin - Madison. |
